Bicycle Rentals Reservations and Payment

PAYMENT CONDITIONS

A 25% non refundable deposit is required to hold your rental. Full payment is due 60 days from the start of the rental. Please Note: rentals less than 200 Euros will be charged in full at the time of deposit. 

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

All cancellations must be received in writing or via confirmed email. The following table explains cancellation fees for all bike rentals and associated services:

No refunds are possible after the rental begins. Refunds take 2-4 weeks to process from the date written cancellation is received. We reserve the right to cancel a rental prior to pickup for any reason, in which case a full refund will be made if cancellation occurs 30 days or more prior to the scheduled pickup date of the rental. If we are forced to cancel a rental, we will award a 100% refund. Refunds are for rental price only and excludes expenses incurred by customers in instances where BikeRentalsPlus! is forced to cancel a rental. Prices are in Euros and charged in Euros, hence exchange rates will be determined by individual card holders' banks.

DELIVERY CONDITIONS

Renter acknowledges that BikeRentalsPlus! will do its best to deliver and pick up from locations at agreed upon times but force majeure or other exceptional circumstances (unusual traffic en route to drop-off or delivery) may cause delays.  Renter agrees to adhere to delivery and pick-up times themselves and authorize BikeRentalsPlus! to charge their credit card if meeting times are not met and additional expenses are incurred due to renter lateness (i.e. staff time, highway tolls, staff meals and lodging, etc).  If there are changes to the pick up location or time once the rental has started this must be communicated by confirmed email or direct telephone contact at least 48 hours before the bicycles are returned to BikeRentalsPlus!

If delivery location does not allow for easy access by van to drop off or pick up bicycles please make additional arrangements.  We often deliver to beautiful remote villas in rural areas that have 17% grade gravel roads and low-hanging trees.  BikeRentalsPlus! is not responsible therefore for any additional time and expense that may accrue if changes in delivery location or means have to be made.  It is renter's responsibility to know whether the pick up and drop of location is acceptable.

Self-Guided Tours Reservations and Payments

Changes to current itineraries or custom SG tours may incur modified Terms and Conditions which will be communicated at the time of reservation.

PAYMENT CONDITIONS

A deposit of 400 Euros per person reserves space on the trip.  Full payment is due 60 days before commencement of the tour.  The tour price is based on double occupancy and includes the services specified in the itinerary plus optional activities listed.  The price does not include services and meals not listed specifically in the itinerary, passports, or other travel documents, air or other transportation to and from the tour start and ending points (unless otherwise stated in the tour itinerary), visas, vaccinations where required, or personal expenses such as laundry, medical insurance, and communications.

Cancellation & Refunds: We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance, including trip cancellation/interruption insurance.  All cancellations must be received in writing or via confirmed e-mail.  The following table explains cancellation fees for tours:

RESPONSIBILITY FOR BICYCLE RENTERS AND SELF GUIDED TOUR PARTICIPANTS

1. The payment of the deposit or any partial or full payment for a reservation on a rental and its associated services shall constitute consent to all provisions listed under "BikeRentalsPlus! European Bicycle Rental Terms & Conditions" herein. These provisions are hereby incorporated by reference in this RESPONSIBILITY notice, and participants are advised to take notice.
2. ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. are the principal bicycle rent operator for these rentals and is responsible to the participants for all rental arrangements and for all services offered. 
3. ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. , its agents, servants and employees shall not be responsible for personal injuries or property damage, loss or delay, or change of itinerary incurred by any person or renter arising out of the act of negligence of any direct or supplemental carrier, or other person rendering any of these services, nor shall ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours or BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. be responsible for any injuries, death, damage, loss or delay in any means of transportation or by reasons of any event beyond the actual control of  ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. , or of any agent or supplier, or due to force majeure. Renters use the bicycles at their own risk and agree not to hold ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. responsible for injury or death resulting from accidents.
4. Bicycles provided for rent are in satisfactory operating condition and participants agree to use them at their own risk or call deficiencies to the immediate attention of the ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. employee giving them the bicycles. Instruction in the use of bicycles will not be provided and participants affirm that they are familiar with the use of a multi-speed bicycle.
5. ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C. reserve the right to substitute bicycles with comparable bicycles if necessary. The right is also reserved to decline to accept or retain any person as a renter due to circumstances beyond the control of ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus sas di Price Monica e C.  
6. Bicycle renters accept the following conditions:

1. Bicycle renters are required to wear a helmet while cycling. 
2. Renters understand that bicycles are rented without safety devices such as lights (and so can only be ridden from sunrise to sunset) and bells (and so must use other auditory signals while bicycling).
3. Renters agree to abide by all national rules of the road while using the bicycle/s, including the new laws forbidding cycling while under the influence of alcohol and cycling while using a cellular phone. Renters are responsible for paying for any infraction of the Italian rules of the road, including any costs resulting from impoundment and subsequent retrieval of the bicycle/s.

BikeRentalsPlus! Bike Rental Contract

Rental contract between BikeRentalsPlus (co-operated by ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours and BikesPlus di Price, Monica e C.,sas) and ______________________________(name):

1) I hereby declare that I and everyone using the bicycle(s) I am now renting have the necessary experience to use it/them, and that I have tested and checked its/their perfect working condition. ______________________________(signature)

2) I will notify BikeRentalsPlus immediately of any eventual malfunctions or breakages of the bicycle(s). I declare that the bicycle(s) will not be used improperly and that I will personally redeliver it/them to BikeRentalsPlus! or their local agent or will make confirmed written arrangements as to the return of the bicycles.  _______________________________(signature)

3) I am providing BikeRentalsPlus! with credit card details, for precautionary use only. I authorize BikeRentalsPlus! to charge the credit card they have on file for me for all eventual costs in case of damages to the bicycle(s) during my rental period, comprehensive of labor, except in the case that I can demonstrate other's faults with evidence and all necessary information for reimbursement. In case of theft, I will be responsible for reimbursing BikeRentalsPlus! for the original purchase price of the bike, plus the cost of any accessories that were provided at the time of the bike rental.  ______________________________(signature)

Theft/Damage Insurance

In our years of renting bicycles, we've had virtually no incidents of theft or damage, although we recognize the prospect of mishaps exists. So we offer a means to insure your rental bike against theft or damage caused by accident for selected rentals (please inquire about the availability of insurance for your specific rental as not all our agents provide this option).

This insurance costs €10 and is entirely optional. It provides the following coverage:

• in the case of minor damage to bike or damage or loss of accessories, 100% of cost of repairs
• in the case of irreparable damage resulting in the beicycle's permanent retirement, theft or loss of the bicycle, covers the replacement cost for the bike and accessories less a 250 Euro deductible fee for standard bikes and an 800 Euro deductible for Titanium Bikes
  
• please note that third-party liability, medical costs, and any other incidental costs that result due to rental bike damage or theft / loss of the rental bike are not covered.

Many home-owner policies and some car insurance policies provide coverage against incidental theft and damage while the insured is traveling; please check your policy to see if this is the case.
